Mother’s Cake

That's the cake I have been eating since I was 2 probably. The original recipe was adapted by my mum from the Soviet recipe of the cake Prague.
Prep: 1 mins
Cook: 2 mins
Total: 3 mins
Servings: 8
Meal Difficulty: Medium

  1. Mix eggs, sugar, sour cream together.
  2. Separately mix baking soda and vinegar and add to the mix.
  3. Start adding flour little by little.
  4. Finally add half of the tin of condensed milk and 2 tbsp of cocoa powder.
  5. Pour the mix into the spring tin and put into the oven for 180 degrees Celsius until the cake has risen and the knive is clean after you sink it into the cake in the center.
  6. If you double the ingredients, you can either use a second similar size tin for half of the batch or bake the second batch separately after the first one is ready.
  7. While it’s all baking, mix melted butter, the rest of condenced milk and cocoa powder together in the same bowl you were making the batter.
  8. Once the cakes are out, slice them into thin layers.
  9. Build a cake by putting the widest at the bottom and the most even and small at the top.
  10. If any layers are broken, fit them in the middle – nobody will see what the layers really look like in detail.
  11. If you wish, put crushed walnuts in between each layer and on top.
